We want to share what's new as well as what's been around and worked - saving you the trouble of sifting through all the noise.
Aptitudes are natural abilities for doing, or learning to do, certain kinds of things easily and quickly. Are you good at generating ideas, or analyzing numerical information? Can you think three-dimensionally or organize information quickly? Those are examples of aptitudes, and each occupation uses a different combination of aptitudes.
Your aptitudes have little to do with knowledge or culture, or education, or interests. They have to do with heredity. Being right-handed or left-handed, and seeing colors normally are stable, inherent traits that are familiar to most people. The other aptitudes the Foundation measures are the same stable, inherent traits. Johnson O'Connor measure about twenty aptitudes with their battery of tests. Aptitude testing is an invaluable tool for making career and educational decisions.
Assessments are at the heart of what we do - the results serve as a lens for addressing any career or performance related issue and allow us to hone in on the true issues vs the presenting symptoms.
Our partner in test design and administration is PerformancePrograms.com. Working together for over 20 years, we offer a full range of online assessments from the traditional (i.e. Leadership, 360 Feedback, Emotional Intelligence) to the customized (i.e. Full Engagement Profile)
The mission of Jazz at Lincoln Center is to entertain, enrich and expand a global community for Jazz through performance, education and advocacy. We believe Jazz is a metaphor for Democracy. Because jazz is improvisational, it celebrates personal freedom and encourages individual expression. Because jazz is swinging, it dedicates that freedom to finding and maintaining common ground with others. Because jazz is rooted in the blues, it inspires us to face adversity with persistent optimism.
Inconjunction with JALC, we offer a unique Leadership and Teambuilding workshop: Syncopated Leadership and the Rythm of Teams - a business workshop using th elessons of jazz. It is a 3 hour interactive experience with world class musicians exploring the concepts of fluid leadership and autonomous teams, using the lessons of jazz improv.
